PROJECT INTRO

The Maanvi initiative provides low-income communities in Northern India with affordable menstrual hygiene supplies.

To accomplish this noble mission, the organisation approached our web development team with the task of establishing a user-friendly website to create awareness and garner support in promoting women’s health.

PROJECT CHALLENGE

Menstrual hygiene is a topic that can be stigmatized and considered taboo in some communities.

The challenge was to ensuring that the website conveyed the importance of the cause without causing discomfort. The website had to be modern, reflect the sentiment and branding, target the right audience and present every necessary piece of information without seeming cluttered.

PROJECT SOLUTION

We developed the website in Wordpress.

We adopted an empathetic design approach, incorporating soft colors, subtle visuals, and educational content to normalize conversations around menstrual health while respecting cultural sensitivities. We were very particular about the user flow, placement of content, the words used and buttons of the website. We worked closely with the Maanvi team all through the project to create a website that would serve as a powerful platform to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and the importance of the initiative, leading to increased public engagement.
